Free 508 Validators & Tools
A Word of Caution from HHS: The free tools above are ok in that they can point out major issues that might occur on some sites. However, they are no substitute for analytical testing by individuals who know the standards and how they need to be implemented. We only mention this because although testing with these tools is better than doing no testing, you don't want to be misled into thinking a site is fully conformant with the 508 standards just because a piece of software says it is, only to find out later via a complaint that the site in fact is flawed and can't be accessed by someone who needs to do so.
